This is a half hearted offline version of woomy.app. Some things might now work properlly and will most likely not be fixed. The reasons for this are due to the following:
Woomy, flatly, is a mess and most of my goals were centered around cleaning up this mess and bringing the game to new heights but this really isnt feasible while maintaing the collection of tanks Woomy currently has which is largely the reason people play. This is due to the fact that everything in Woomy is balanced off janky and broken mechanics. For example, if something has zero movement, it wont take any damage, I fixed this and EVERYTHING became increadibly unbalanced which would require the rebalancing of 2k+ tanks which would take a stupendious amount of time. Time which I dont currently have as school is kicking into full gear. Any change with how collisions, damage, stats, mostly anything will lead to similar results. Additionally I want time to explore new things, but most of my time, almost my entire summer, has been poured into just keeping Woomy online. This is rather undesirable. So generally, this shapes up to be a "bad" project to work on. I could pass off the game to someone else, but I dont think theres anyone who is capable and willing to fix this, hence why theres no longer going to be more development on this version of woomy and why its now offline. All hope is not lost though, Oblivion and Jekyll, who were both former developers, decided to recode the game and continue Woomy in, what they deem to be, a better direction. The timing of their copy and the current situation was a large part of the reason why I did this at this time. The discord for their new iteration can be found here: https://discord.gg/M7f89p4xZh. In the meantime I will be making a game centered around exploring some sick caves similar to the cave gamemode in Woomy. The discord to that can be found here: https://discord.gg/zdpeX3bnWE. This version of woomy is open source now, so do as you like, you're welcome to rehost it, all the source code for the online version as well as previous versions can be found here: https://github.com/DrakoHyena/WoomyArchives and the offline version can be viewed on glitch. I dont recommend you use the online version as a server, maybe go with the aps++ template instead, I hear its pretty good and the definitions can probably be ported over easily enough .
